BORN on October 12th, 1972, Karen Smedley (Angle) is the daughter or parents Jack and Iva. With an older and younger brother, Karen, is a Spike television “TNA Wrestling Super Star Knockout”. She grew up in Pittsburgh, PA with a normal childhood, at age 10 she enjoyed dressing up like most young ladies but she also was enjoyed watching professional wresting ever week with her grand father, Jack Lykins. In her teens Karen also played organized softball and volleyball.

Wrestling may not have been in the blood but it was certainly in her heart as she is the proud wife of 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist and a Twelve Time World Champion Kurt Angle. Karen’s natural beauty, acting, athletics and being around the wrestling industry for over 7 years with husband Kurt at WWE, Vince McMahon always talked about her participating on the programming but Vince never got the job done. This unique talent was then recognized by Dixie Carter, TNA owner as she saw Karen as the perfect knockout to lead an Olympic Gold Medalist and The World Best Professional Wrestler into the SIX SIDES of STEEL in TNA.

Karen’s role is defined as a Sexy but intelligent wife with children who uses both her natural charm and savory wit inside and outside of the ring to support her husband and her own personal initiatives to greater wealth, and be the pinnacle of TNA wrestling. Karen debut on August 2007 as this long wait to the wrestling ring was certainly well worth it.

Most recently, Karen shined as a special guest host on the 2007 Spike TV Video Game Awards.
