Ciudad Quesada

Over the years Ciudad Quesada has developed into an award winning urbanization, finally getting it's own Town Hall, making it a town in its own right. The urbanization is located on south facing slopes with commanding views over the salt lakes of Torrevieja, one an actual working salt lake considered to be the most important in Europe, the other being a nature reserve. Beyond them the Mediterranean Sea glistens on the horizon. Further views take in the mountains and inland plains covered with orange and lemo groves filling the air with delicate aroma in flowering seasons.

Amongst the many facilities are an Aqua Park, Golf Course and Social Club with restaurant, live entertainment, bowls and swimming facilities (Charges are applicable). There are numerous Bars, Restaurants, Shoping including newsagents, supermarkets, a tabacconist, hairdressers, banks' with exchange facilities and a medical centre. To conclude Ciuda Quesada is a secluded paradise, yet close enough to three towns, Torrevieja, Guardamar del Segura and Rojales, to cater for all types of holiday.

The whole of the complex is very stylish and picturesque with landscaped gardens surrounding the swimming pool with ceramic detail and including soft, atmospheric lighting in the evenings, embracing the whole Mediterrnean feel.

There are many outstanding golf courses in the area including Royal Campoamor, Las Ramblas and Villa Martin where they have, in the past, held the Spanish Open, as well as La Marquesa which is part of the Ciudad Quesada urbanization.

You are only a short car ride away from some typically Spanish towns including Torrevieja, Guardamar del Segura, Elche, with one of Europe's largest palm forests, Santa Pola, famous for its seafood, Alicante, an exciting Spanish city and Benidorm, which is only one hours drive away.

From Torreveija it is possible to get coaches or drive to other cities further afield including Cartagena and Murcia.

Guardamar del Segura

Guardamar del Segura epitmomises a typical Spanish seaside resort. Amongst its many attractions is a superb beach side with miles of clean golden sand and some very nice restaurants, as well as some cool, typical Spanish bars. On Wednesday the town transforms into a man, whirlwind of activity with the market (not to be missed!) as characters from days gone by appear all willing to barter for the most simple of items on their stalls. To spend a normal day in Guardmar is like spending a day in rush free heaven. Leisurely strolls through the town and then down to the park with red squirrels, black swans and a miriad of other wild life.

A nice lunch or (recommended) a mix of the tapas at the bar of the cafe/restaurant of your choice followed by a preamble thorough the pines to the dunes and finally the Marina. Such a lot to do, yet time still ambles on at a wonderfully leisurely pace.
